How Do I Pay?
Joyful Abilities operates as a private‑pay‑only pediatric occupational therapy provider.. This means we do not bill insurance, Medicaid, or third‑party payers. All services—including evaluations, individual treatment, in‑home or daycare‑based sessions, and group programs—are paid directly by families at the time of service.
Choosing private pay offers several meaningful benefits for children and families:
- No insurance limitations — Therapy is not restricted by diagnosis requirements, visit caps, or predetermined treatment timelines. Your child receives the frequency and duration of care that truly fits their needs.
- Individualized treatment planning — Sessions are designed around your child’s goals, not insurance criteria. This allows for more flexibility, creativity, and responsiveness in treatment.
- Immediate access to services — Families avoid long waitlists, referral delays, and authorization barriers. Children can begin therapy as soon as they need it.
- Flexible locations — Private pay allows therapy to occur in your home, at your child’s daycare, or in small‑group settings—places insurance often will not cover.
Private pay ensures that therapy remains child‑centered, relationship‑driven, and fully tailored to your family’s goals—without the restrictions that often limit traditional insurance‑based services.
Consistent participation in our group/individual sessions provides the repetition, structure, and guided practice children need to build lasting skills. Progress is strongest when sessions occur regularly, allowing children to carry skills forward each week and grow with confidence. To support this continuity, we offer session packages at a discounted rate, giving families a more affordable option while ensuring their child receives steady, meaningful therapeutic benefit.
ABOUT THE OWNER
Cassie Schreiber, OTR
I’ve been working with families in the New Braunfels area since 2001 in homes, schools, hospitals, and clinics. Over the years I’ve supported both children and adults, but pediatric occupational therapy has always been my happy place. For more than 19 years, I’ve had the joy of helping little ones discover what they can do, one meaningful milestone at a time.
I’ve worked with children with ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, developmental delays, genetic conditions, and many other unique needs. No matter the diagnosis, my approach stays the same: build trust, connect with the child, support the family, and make therapy feel like a place where success and silliness are always welcome.
I believe therapy works best when kids feel safe, understood, and excited to try new things. Whether we’re practicing fine motor skills, building confidence, or celebrating a “tiny but mighty” win, I’m right there cheering them on. Helping children grow, shine, and surprise themselves is my favorite part of the job — and yes, we absolutely make room for laughter, creativity, and a little bit of magic along the way.
